Parent Safety Guide
Every design decision starts with one question: "Would I want this for my own child?" If the answer is no, we don't build it.
The 6 MoneyQuest Safety Guarantees
No ads. Ever.
Students see lessons — not promotions. We will never display third-party advertising inside the app, on worksheets, or in any parent communication. Your child is a student, not a product.
No open chat
Zero direct student-to-student messaging. There is no in-app chat, no friend requests, and no social feed. Learning stays focused and private.
No bank connection
Kids never link real accounts in version one. All money examples use fictional balances and pretend scenarios. Real-world practice happens at home with your guidance, not inside the app.
Parent-approved access
COPPA-aligned consent required for under-13s. If a student is under 13, a parent or guardian must verify and approve the account before lessons begin.
No public money amounts
Leaderboards show points, not dollars. Any competitive or leaderboard feature uses abstract Quest Points. Real savings balances are visible only to the student and their linked parent dashboard.
Plain-language privacy
We collect the minimum. Sell nothing. We only store what is needed to run the app: a first name, grade level, and lesson progress. We do not sell, rent, or trade data with anyone.
The MoneyQuest Promise
Built for your whole community
For parents
You stay in control. Approve accounts, review progress, and get weekly summary emails. No surprises.
For teachers
Classroom-ready with no social risk. Assign missions, track completion, and export progress reports — all without exposing student data.
For students
A safe space to make money mistakes and learn from them. No peer pressure, no ads, no real financial risk.
COPPA & student privacy
MoneyQuest Jr. is designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). For users under 13, verifiable parental consent is required before any account is activated. We do not collect more data than necessary, we do not use behavioral advertising, and we give parents full control over their child's information. For questions, contact our privacy team directly.
